Ian Flanders

Ian Flanders landed in a family of actors who fed his love for storytelling and play. He founded the Nickel and Dime Mime Troupe at the ripe age of 12.  Soon after forming the group, Mime became un-cool in the public eye so we disbanded and went into the witness protection program.

Hooked on the work of Buster Keaton, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Tom and Jerry, Richard Pryor and the entire cast of the Carol Burnett Show. He took what he learned, applied it to many comedic roles in Shakespeare, Moliere, Orwell and others and made people laugh.

Ian has carried on the tradition of play for 25 years, performing and teaching actors and civilians of all ages to peel off the layers and just pretend.
